**The Seattle Sounders salvaged a 1-1 draw against CF Montréal, but an alarming first-half performance raised questions about whether their recent progress is slipping.**

After seemingly turning a corner with an extended unbeaten run, Seattle looked like a different team against Montréal, struggling in possession and offering little attacking threat before Sebastián Gómez's leveler rescued a point as part of an improved second half.

On this week's Kickoff, Ari Liljenwall and Jackson Felts break down what went wrong, whether the result should change expectations for the Sounders and what Brian Schmetzer should do with his starting lineup. Has Gómez earned a bigger role? And were Seattle's lineup decisions part of the problem?

Plus, we examine the upcoming general manager vote and the debate surrounding Craig Waibel's future, before looking ahead to a challenging matchup with San Diego FC.
