Lobbing Scorchers is a Seattle based independent media brand covering soccer in the United States. Originally launched as a standalone podcast in June 2023 produced by Noah Riffe and hosted by Ari Liljenwall.
In late 2023 the business and show were built up under Just Once Media. Overseen by Noah Riffe the property expanded to social media content, video production and multiple podcast properties. During that time the brand began producing Lobbing Scorchers Kickoff, Fans React call in show and Eternal Blue Forever Girls. In June of 2024, Just Once Media licensed Lobbing Scorchers to Sounder at Heart. That partnership lasted until August of 2026 when Lobbing Scorchers launched its full suite of written coverage.
In October of 2026 Lobbing Scorchers began operating as a fully independent entity lead by Ari Liljenwall with the departure of former CEO Noah Riffe after over 3 years at the helm.
Lobbing Scorchers coverage area includes: Major League Soccer (MLS), Seattle Sounders, National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Seattle Reign, U.S. Soccer, USMNT, USWNT, United Soccer League (USL), Ballard FC, Salmon Bay FC, West Seattle Junction, West Seattle Rhodies and soccer in Washington State generally.
