Seattle Sounders young star and designated player Pedro De La Vega's season is most likely over. During a press conference today Sounders Head Coach Brian Schmetzer revealed De La Vega has a very significant left quad pull that may require surgery.
Brian Schmetzer told media, "Pedro has a very significant left quad pull. He is probably out for the remainder of the year. They’re talking about maybe a surgery maybe not, they’re going to a second opinion and a third opinion [from] the best doctors in the United States plus another doctor from Argentina. We are looking to cover all of our bases with this injury, but it is pretty significant."
